Glacial Lakes SAFE is housed at the Human Service Agency within the Northeast Prevention Resource Center in Watertown, South Dakota.
Serves within the Glacial Lakes area to offer suicide prevention and mental health presentations and trainings such as Questions, Persuade, Refer (QPR), Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
Glacial Lakes SAFE also offers suicide prevention and mental health resources to health care professionals, youth servicing organizations, helping professionals and local businesses and organizations, as well as anyone who may come in contact with individuals experiencing mental health problems.

A team of first responders who work with law enforcement when there has been a death by suicide in Pennington County. The LOSS Team is called to the scene to help survivors with the next steps and offer any extra support and resources to the surviving loved ones. The Loss Team follows families for up to a year after their loss with case management services.
The LOSS Team offers an 8-week class called "Understanding Your Suicide Grief" for survivors of suicide. It is offered twice a year in the spring and fall. This class focuses on helping those who have lost a loved on to suicide in hopes of assisting them in understanding the grief process and helping them find hope and health their hearts.
The LOSS Team also has a monthly support group called SOS )Survivors of Suicide Support Group - a peer-to-peer lead support group, held the fourth Saturday of every month from 10:00am - 12:00 pm (MT). This monthly support group is offered to anyone 18 years of age and older who has lost someone to Suicide.

Examples consist of financial assistance for grief counseling, burial expenses, clean-up costs, legal fees, and other suicide-related expenses.
The Program Coordinator supports clients with referrals and resources to additional financial assistance programs and/or therapeutic support if needed.

Members include professionals from Avera Behavioral Health, Sioux Falls Police Department, Southeastern Behavioral Health, Veterans Hospital, Minnehaha County Sheriff Department, Moms Demand Action, Compass Center, University of Sioux Falls, Sanford Health, AFSP, Lost & Found, The Link, South Dakota Urban Indian Health, 988, and Empire Mental Health.
The task force works together to develop and implement initiatives to raise awareness about suicide and mental health through prevention, intervention and education strategies for preventing suicide.
