WAVI works to create a community free of domestic violence and sexual assault through advocacy, education, and support services. Services provided include emergency room response, court advocacy, assistance filing protection orders, assistance filing crime victim compensation, emotional support, temporary emergency shelter, comprehensive case management, supportive services, and information and referral.

This guide is produced as an initiative of the Human Services Collaborative and funded by the John T. Vucurevich Foundation. It was established to help people more readily identify and select licensed/credentialed practitioners and agencies. It includes both non profit and for profit behavioral health practioners, and is available in both printable and online searchable versions.

Strives to ensure that all learners - especially English Language Learners (ELL), economically disadvantaged learners and minority students - have the supports they need to achieve academic, career, and life goals. Provides museum exhibits connecting attendees with the people, cultures, and science behind the Black Hills and prairies of Western South Dakota from prehistoric encounters and Native American heritage to pioneer tales and spaceflight. Includes cultural artifacts and interactive experiences. Also offers online education material for children, audio guided tours of the museum, educational field trips, and summer camps.

The Helpline Center has many events including trainings, speakers, support groups, fundraisers, etc. Check them out at www.helplinecenter.org/calendar Annual events include the Step Forward to Prevent Suicide, the Helpline Center Open Golf Tournament and Auction, and the Spirit of Volunteerism Recognition.

Works to reduce suicides and suicide attempts through community action and educational development. Current programs are Positive Self-Discovery course, Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR), and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). These programs provide strategies for addressing health, wellness, and identification of persons at risk for suicide.
