A holistic approach enhances the Military Force through resources, support and education. Provides a focal point of information through Eight Essential Services. - Crisis intervention resources and referrals - Legal resources and referrals - Financial resources and referrals - TRICARE resources and referrals - ID Cards and DEERS - Community information and outreach - Exceptional Family Member Program - Emergency Family Assistance Center The Family Assistance Center is critical in providing help to all Military Families. This holds especially true for geographically dispersed Families who are unable to access services at a local bases, installations, or forts.

Providing free support to women and men living with the disease of infertility. The Resolve HelpLine is a voicemail system where you can leave a message on any topic related to infertility. A volunteer will return your call within 1 - 3 days. Online services include information on coping with infertility and online support groups. As of 11/26/2019 there is a in-person peer led support group in Aberdeen. Groups start and stop throughout the year. Protective payee services is where the participant is provided financial management education and the CSW controls the participant's income, pays bills, buys groceries, other necessities, and in general manages the participant's finances for a period of time. Information & Referral: Community Service Workers provide information regarding the services available from ICAP and other providers (Social Service, County Welfare, etc.). School supplies: Helps lower-income families by providing some or all of the basic necessities to the student. School supplies are distributed in August.

Services include home care and shore services, personal care services, adult companion, and nursing services. Safety and Help Moving Around: Provides services in the home to help keep an aging adult or adult with a disability safe, secure, and independent. Services include medical equipment, medical supplies, and assistive devices. Nutrition and Meals: Provides healthy meals, nutrition screenings, assessments, education, and counseling. Senior Health Information and Insurance Education (SHIINE): Provides individuals information about the benefits they can receive through Medicare, and how to avoid fraud to protect their benefits. Caregiver Support: Offers caregivers the resources and tools they need to care for their loved ones and gives them an opportunity to take a break from caregiving or receive a stipend for providing care to a family member. These services also provide aging adults and adults with disabilities time to socialize and receive support in a community setting through Adult Day Services. Residential Living Services: Provides services and supports in assisted living centers, community living homes, and nursing facilities. Ombudsman Program: Provides advocacy, education, and information for residents, family, and staff in long term care settings. Adult Protective Services: Provides interventions to protect vulnerable adults from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Services include program education and support and personal attendant services. - MONEY FOLLOWS THE PERSON - Providing options for older adults and/or people with disabilities living in nursing homes, hospitals, or long-term care facilities to enable them to successfully return to their homes and communities. Helps individuals identify barriers to living on their own, helps them find a place to live that meets their needs, and helps them find the services and supports they need to continue living independently.

Disability Rights South Dakota assists persons of all ages with issues relating to disabilities: Information and referral Abuse, neglect and rights violations based on disability Discrimination based on disability Employment Social Security/SSI/SSDI and how to incorporate benefits into your ability to work Voting Persons with disabilities, parents, guardians, attorneys, professionals and others concerned about the rights of persons with disabilities are encouraged to contact Disability Rights South Dakota. Corporate office is in Pierre and field offices are in Sioux Falls and Rapid City. Call ahead for Sioux Falls and Rapid City as there may or may not be staff in-office.

Through its community-wide fundraising efforts, the Capital Area United Way helps to support 35 programs and services offered through 16 local United Way funded agencies. Supports Community Impact Programs that help improve the lives of people affected by issues such as health, income and education. Programs include: - Girls on the Run/Girls on Track serves girls in 3-8th grade and helps prepare them for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. - Imagination Library provides free books to children, ages 0-5, who reside in Hughes and Stanley counties. - Mobile Dental Program helps children who don't have access to dental care. - Project H.E.R.O. provides milk tickets and emergency transportation tickets to students to ensure they are healthy and able to get to school on time, and ready to learn. - Lion's Club Vision Screening Serves as a connecting place for volunteer opportunities. Agencies share that information through a publication in the paper called Volunteer Connections, as well as in the high school newspaper. Also, helps connects groups looking for a project with agencies needing volunteers.
