The Historic Orpheum Theater opened in 1913 as a vaudeville house and seats just under 700 people. The elegant and beautifully preserved theater is known for its superb acoustics and hosts a variety of events including plays and concerts, business meetings, wedding ceremonies and receptions, and much more. The Orpheum Theater was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. Orpheum Theater Center in downtown Sioux Falls features two distinct (and rentable) spaces: 686-seat Historic Orpheum Theater (built in 1913) Anne Zabel Studio Theater with room for up to 450 people The two spaces are all connected by a large lobby and concessions area, and the building also boasts an outdoor patio area. The center hosts plays, concerts, dance and other forms of entertainment throughout the year. It is also the perfect venue for weddings, meetings, banquets, conferences, trade shows and much more.

A volunteer-based organization with two main purposes: to provide an opportunity for volunteers to participate in all aspects of community theatre, and to provide affordable professional quality live theatre for the greater Sioux Empire community.
Produces three main stage shows each year (Fall, Spring, and Summer). The BCT is a non-profit organization; all actors, stage hands, assistants, Board members, etc. are volunteers. Directors, Music Directors, Choreographers, and Accompanists are paid positions and are selected during an interview process approximately 6-12 weeks before each production. Anyone interested in participating in a BCT production may visit the website or email.

The Wells Fargo CineDome shows a variety of mission-based, educational documentaries.

The Monument is the entertainment mecca for the Black Hills Region, serving South Dakota, Southwest North Dakota, Northwest Nebraska, and Eastern Wyoming. Home to many large annual events, including the Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo & Rodeo Rapid City, Lakota Nation Invitational, South Dakota High School Activities Association Tournaments, Black Hills Powwow and the Rapid City Rush ECHL hockey team. The campus includes multiple performance spaces; Summit Arena, Barnett Fieldhouse, Ice Arena, the Fine Arts Theatre. In addition you will find two large convention/exhibit halls, and numerous other meeting rooms all under one roof!

The Black Hills Playhouse is a 77-year-old regional theatre company with locations in Rapid City, and Sioux Falls. Approximately 15,000 visitors go to theatre productions annually to see the work of artists who are hired from all over the country. The summer stock schedule is listed here. All shows are located at Custer State Park. In addition to the historic program in the Park, programs include: Dakota Players Tours - Touring educational theatre opportunities to communities large and small. - BHP Jr. Camps - Summer performing arts camps for kids in 5th through 12th grades in the Black Hills. The Expanding Stage - Theatre programs created for people of all ages and abilities with opportunities to participate in performing arts.
Prairie Repertory Theatre produces four productions each summer, performing in SDSU's Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center throughout June and July.
A year round, non-profit dinner theatre with gluten free and vegetarian entree options available. Summer kids camp available.

Provides the community with education and an opportunity to participate in family friendly events with a focus on the Renaissance, events include: An annual festival Educational programs Fundraising events Events are held throughout the year. Visit Facebook page for information. The 23nd annual Siouxland Renaissance Festival will be celebrated Saturday, June 1 - Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. Volunteers may sign up on the website (www.siouxlandrenfest.com) for work before or at the Festival. Also welcomes volunteers for projects throughout the year.

Featuring 1,835-seat Mary W. Sommervold Hall, Schulte multi-use rehearsal room, and Belbas Theater. The Center offers a wide variety of entertainment from around the world, including touring Broadway productions, symphonic, rock and country concert performances, national and international dance tours, weddings and much more. The Husby Performing Arts Center is also the home of the South Dakota Symphony.

Provides a safe and healthy environment to the citizens of the greater Sturgis area so that they may participate in recreational and entertaining activities, including a 25 yard, 6 lane, indoor swimming pool with diving board, 72 foot waterslide, hot tub, Sauna, outdoor patio, gymnasium, indoor walking and running track, weight room, cardio room, racquetball courts, and locker rooms. The Performing Arts Theater is located within the Community Center and has a 442 seating capacity. The theater hosts special events, conventions, seminars, concerts, and plays. Meeting rooms and a kitchen are also available for rental. The Community Center also provides recreational programs including youth basketball, youth football, youth swim lessons, and adult softball.
