Stockyards Ag Experience Barn and Plaza is intended to preserve the history and legacy of the Sioux Falls Stockyards by providing a dynamic, interactive learning center for people of all ages. Stockyard Ag Experience provides a place to communicate the role agriculture plays in our economy and society and showcases the story of agriculture in this region from the farm to the table and its evolving relationship to the world.
Rotating exhibits feature Harvey Dunn, Native American art, Marghab Linens and Paul Goble, as well as exhibits curated from regional, national and international artists. Family friendly with art activities and engagement spaces for kids throughout the museum. Free Community Art Days and other free events throughout the year. Tours available with advance notice. The museum has more than 7,000 objects in its collection including paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, textiles, and ceramics. The Museum Store features jewelry, beads, pottery, and original works of art by local and regional artists in addition to books on South Dakota history and culture, gifts, educational toys, and giclée prints of Harvey Dunn originals.
Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center (HARCC) serves as a destination appealing to historians, geologist, genealogists, authors, scholars, and the general public. It is a research center with a reputation for thoroughness, assisting in multi-disciplined fields of study serving a local, state, and national audience. The facility is designed to host a variety of public programs, workshops, concerts, and lectures that appeal to a divers and multi-generational audience. The HARCC provides public access to an unprecedented collection of historically valuable archival materials, offering a unique perspective of Black Hills history.

The Pettigrew Home and Museum is a historic house built in 1889 and in 1911 became the home of Richard Franklin Pettigrew. He was the first Senator for the State of South Dakota. There are two museum galleries featuring exhibits on Pettigrew and historic Sioux Falls. Tours of the home are offered every day of the week.

A portable planetarium to discover the secrets of the seasonal constellations. Starlab gives students the tools to begin their own sky exploration. Starlab encompasses astronomy and mythology and is applicable to 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 8th grade science standards and 2nd & 6th grade history standards.

Commemorates the history of the award-winning Days of '76 Celebration and rodeo. The Days of '76 Museum features exceptional displays of carriages and wagons, historic firearms, American Indian artifacts, and illustrates Deadwood's enduring friendship with Buffalo Bill Cody.
Mosaic Arts and Events (formerly known as Museum of Visual Materials) is an historic and LEED Platinum Green Building. Offers free and low cost art classes and camps for kids Mondays through Wednesdays. The historic building is also an events venue for weddings, receptions, fundraisers, holiday parties and more. In 1960, The Dakotaland Museum started as The Pioneer Museum a tribute to all of the early settlers. Located in the 1913 Dairy Exhibit Building on the State Fairgrounds, The Dakotaland Museum celebrates the spirit and history of Beadle County.

The Old Courthouse Museum was Minnehaha County's first courthouse, built in 1889 with a 165 foot clock tower. The museum features three floors of history related exhibits, along with a variety of educational programming including historic walking tours, kids activities including summer camps, concerts, and much more.
