Offers a range of services, including: Computer Training: Utilizing assistive technology, such as speech and Braille output, to enhance digital literacy. Orientation and Mobility: Instruction in travel techniques with and without the use of a white cane. Communication Skills: Training in Braille and other effective communication methods. Home Management: Teaching essential daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Manual Arts: Hands-on experience with hand and power tools to build confidence and practical skills. Low Vision Services: Access to adaptive devices and specialized exams.

The JVCC is a City of Mitchell facility that is dedicated to providing participants with a variety of leisure, recreational, cultural and educational activities in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment. Some of the many activities include: Cards, Mah Jongg, Darts, Pool Tables, Ping Pong, Shuffleboard, Wellness Education, Exercise, Fine Arts, Dances, Celebrations, Bingo, Community Outreach, Presentations, Bus Trips, Quilting, etc. Also has computer access and internet available for the members to use, or pay the $1.00 daily fee to utilize the computers, Internet, and facility here.
