Women to the Workforce - A career development program designed to help prepare participants to obtain employment. Participants will be assigned a mentor who will encourage and support her throughout the program, and will also attend sessions addressing a variety of topics such as: Organizing the job search Utilizing community resources Cover letters and resumes Putting your best foot forward Interview tips, techniques and feedback Tapestry Women's Career Network: A job retention program that addresses the needs of those navigating the workplace, but may not have a network to rely on to keep them engaged. Members work to achieve self-defined success in their careers and in life. Making Cent$ Financial Literacy Program: Focuses on women looking to get their financial house in order and ease a financial burden by creating a small cohort that meets monthly with local expert presenters that can provide a personal perspective about what is possible and address specific financial concerns. ​Women's Leadership Program: Facilitates the development of female leaders by utilizing the experiences and skills of established women. Women in any career field can benefit from this intensive course, which combines a strong personal development focus along with valuable professional development experiences.

The Sioux 52 Mentorship Initiative seeks to unify Sioux Falls area non-profit, business, and faith communities in order to create a universal, significant and long-lasting commitment to mentoring in our city. The goal is to recruit 5,200 mentors by 2026 and for the City of Sioux Falls to become known as the City of Mentoring. Mentoring in our community truly makes a difference and changes lives for the better. Serves young people (Littles) from age 5 - young adulthood in one-to-one mentoring friendships with volunteer mentors (Bigs). Bigs and Littles hang out for 4 hours a month (scheduled on their own time) doing normal, everyday activities, like seeing a movie, doing homework, playing games, going out to eat, or just hanging out! Each match is supported by a dedicated Match Support Specialist who is always there to provide resources and support specific to the Little's age. With a Big in their life, Littles in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program are empowered to ignite their potential as they grow in their self-esteem, earn better grades, and develop a lifelong friendship with their Big.

A one-to-one mentoring program that supports Mitchell area families by providing youth with a caring adult who helps them navigate life. Volunteer mentors are matched with a mentee based on similar interests and personalities. BFLF has four different mentoring programs: - Community-Based Mentoring: The volunteer mentor and their mentee meet in the evenings or weekends. Mentoring occurs for at least one hour per week for one year. - School-Based Mentoring: The volunteer mentor and child meet at the child's elementary school during the school day for mentoring. Mentoring occurs for at least one hour per week for one school year. - South Dakota Youth Hunting Adventures: The volunteer mentor and youth complete outdoor activities together, which may include: hunting, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking. Mentoring duration and commitment for this program varies by individual match. - Mentor Mom: The Young Mom and Mentor Mom meet for mentoring at least one hour each week for a year.
A referral-based program offered to girls, ages 5 to 18, with unmet health needs. This program addresses physical, mental, and social health needs by connecting girls with service providers in the community. Girls are referred to the program by school counselors, teachers, parents, and health and social service agencies. Each girl is assigned an advocate who will: - Connect her with the appropriate medical, dental, and mental health care services within the community. - Offer referrals for tutoring or other services to meet her individual needs. - Work closely with her family and school to ensure her success. - Assist her in learning and developing patterns of behavior that will enhance her health. - Emphasize the value of regular school attendance and good study habits. - Instill the importance of responsibility, self-esteem, and community involvement.
In school mentoring program to positively impact area youth through fostering one-to-one friendships with caring adult mentors who help facilitate positive character. By matching adult volunteers with a young youth in the community, one-on-one relationships between the Big Friend and Little Friend, enriches the lives of the young person and their family.  Accomplished through strengthening communication, life skill and team building, strengthening the entire family using community resources, hope and inspiration, and relationships with caring adult mentors.
Climb, previously known as Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sioux Empire, matches volunteer mentors with children ages 7 to 14 and meet in the community. Matches are supported by an LSS case manager who works to ensure a successful experience for all. Children can start meeting with a Climb mentor after they turn 7 years old, and must be under the age of 14 to enroll as a new participant. Established matches can continue to meet after the child turns 14. Climb matches meet for 4 hours per month in the community. To help with this, LSS provides an activity card that offers discounts to program participants and hosts monthly events that all matches are invited to attend.
Builds and supports consistent and encouraging mentoring relationships that challenge the growth and expand possibilities for both Mentors and Mentees in Brookings County, SD. The nonprofit provides both 1:1 community-based mentoring and small group opportunities for K-12 grade students, following evidence-based best practices in youth mentoring. BCYMP Mentors, staff and program volunteers are also trained in Adverse Childhood Experiences and the Developmental Relationships Framework.

Youth & Family Services Boys' Health Program is offered to boys, ages 5 - 18, who may be at risk of developing physical, mental, or social health problems. Boys are referred to the program by school counselors, teachers, parents, health service providers, and social services agencies. Once enrolled, boys work closely with advocates to set and attain individualized goals. The Boys' Health Program serves boys and young men in Rapid City with health-focused case management, education, advocacy, and prevention services. The Boys' Health Program helps lay the groundwork for lifestyle habits and attitudes that will strongly influence boys' health and behaviors as adults.

Campus Kids is a staff supervised site based mentoring program specifically for children waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister. It meets once a week at the South Dakota Mines campus and is led by college students Campus Kids Leaders.
Program designed to improve quality of life activities for older adults. Trained volunteers will be matched with an older adult based on similar interests and schedule. Volunteer and older adult matches will spend four hours per month together going on outings, talking, pursuing hobbies, and other relationship-building activities.

USucceed matches high school students with adult mentors. They are matched through graduation. Mentors provide additional support as youth navigate through high school. Mentors and students meet one-on-one for four hours a month. Group activities, events, and service projects are held monthly for the matches to take part in. USucceed youth are also eligible to apply for scholarships provided specifically for youth participating in the program.
Bigs in Blue is a one-to-one mentoring program that connects youth with police in their communities, building strong, trusting, lasting relationships. These relationships can help children develop into confident adults and help build stronger bonds between law enforcement and families they serve.

Provides financial assistance for gas cards for medical appointments, medication co-pays, medical supplies, food, etc. Also provides advocacy and mentoring services. If an application is approved to receive assistance, payment is made directly to the medical clinic, pharmacy, or business that holds the bill.
Re-Entry Services supports individuals as they prepare for release from incarceration, re-enter their communities, re-engage with their families, and find jobs. Work Training Program, providing job readiness training and job seeking assistance for individuals re-entering from jail or prison. Domestic violence offender assessments and groups.
