The Finance Office is responsible for preparation of comprehensive annual financial report, official records of the city, including minutes, ordinances, resolutions, documents, etc., investment of city funds, receiving and recording all city deposits, municipal elections, voter registration forms, alcohol licensing, special assessment administration, payroll for city staff, accounts payable, and questions regarding the Rose Hill Cemetery. Utility Billing: The City of Spearfish offers water, sewer, wastewater and garbage services. Handles utility set-up and disconnection. ​The City of Spearfish's Mayor is part time. The Mayor's liaison, is the Executive Assistant for Administration who can be reached at (605) 642-1354.

City of Mitchell Graceland Cemetery is the day to day operations of several Cemeteries. This includes Graceland, Calvary Catholic, the Servicemen's Memorial and American Legion Cemeteries. Lot sales, locates, monument permits, scheduling funerals, and interment records for the above Cemeteries. Coordinating interments and care with Funeral Homes and families of loved ones.
Parks Division: Maintains city park system throughout the community including irrigation systems Manages Mountain View Cemetery including information and maintenance Maintains city greenhouse which provides flora planted throughout the park system Maintains fleet of department vehicles and equipment Recreation Division: Provides Adult and Youth recreation programs and activities throughout the year Provides management and oversight of Meadowbrook and Executive golf courses Provides management and programming at Roosevelt Park Ice Arena Maintains 4 outdoor pools and the Indoor Swim Center Provides management and aquatic programming to citizens of all ages Provides a variety of Red Cross classes including CPR, First Aid and Babysitting Classes

The Parks Department is responsible for all ground and building maintenance for over 100 acres of park and recreation property. This includes Baseball, softball, soccer, and tennis facilities, City municipal park and shelters, Lion's club park and shelters, Several neighborhood parks, Sturgis fairgrounds, Barry Stadium, Other surrounding property located by Fort Meade, Bike Path, and Bear Butte Cemetery.

The cemetery staff is available to assist the public with choosing burial locations, providing a well-maintained setting for interments, and keeping all cemetery records. Burial records have been transferred from hand-written paper records into a computer database, an updated map with viewer to search for burial locations has been created, and photos of all headstones are a part of the electronic database.

A federally funded, state-owned and operated cemetery for eligible veterans and their eligible dependents. Burial sites include casket gravesites, cremation gravesites, columbarium for cremated remains, and scattering garden.
Riverside Cemetery has 35 acres that are maintained. There are around 400 burial sites left to purchase in the original 35 acres. In August of 2001 the City of Pierre purchased 52 additional acres, of which, 25 acres will be developed into burial sites and roads. This will give the cemetery an additional 12,400 burial sites.
