Provides service, therapy, and companion dogs to Disabled Veterans and Former First Responders injured in the line of duty. Provides these Service Dogs for $1.00 through fund raising events and donations. These funds are used to supplement the costs of veterinary visits, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, kennels, harnesses, leashes, food, travel, training equipment, and even toys. Veterans and former First Responders can become members of Big Paws, and pay an annual fee of $12.00 for unlimited training for dog and handler.
Provides information and resources to connect individuals with disabilities with member organizations. By selecting an ADI Accredited Member organization, individuals can ensure that the organization is meeting the standards in the assistance dogs industry including standards for the treatment of clients, dogs, training and ethical business practices.
