BBB Senior Line - A dedicated, toll-free phone line that is a safe place for seniors, their care-givers, family members or concerned adults to receive reliable information on businesses, scams and frauds. Calls that come in on that line have priority status and are answered first. It is a program established by the Foundation of the Better Business Bureau.

Provides an avenue for individuals to report fraud, waste and abuse within the Social Security Administration's programs and operations. The Fraud Hotline handles allegations regarding violations of law or regulations affecting SSA programs and operations. Examples of some situations that may be reported to the SSA Fraud hotline include, but are not limited to, individuals receiving Social Security Benefits for a child not under their care, individuals continuing to receive and use benefits belonging to a deceased person, concealed marriages or assets from the SSA while receiving disability benefits, and residing overseas and receiving disability benefits. You can submit a report online at https://oig.ssa.gov/report, via phone, mail, fax, or in person at any Social Security Office.

The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit investigates and prosecutes acts of abuse, neglect or exploitation perpetrated upon any resident in a health care facility that receives federal funding. The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit also investigates and prosecutes fraud and abuse committed by physicians, hospitals, laboratories, pharmacists, dentists, ambulance and taxi services, sellers of durable medical equipment, and other service providers.
