The Community Connection Center (CCC) is a one-stop-shop that addresses the needs of Vermillion community members by coordinating the efforts of local organizations. The CCC is a networking hub that houses a full range of community services designed to enhance the lives of children, families and communities, including United Way of Vermillion, Evan Project Diaper Bank, Vermillion Food Pantry, Salvation Army Emergency Fund, Welcome Table, Tanager Takeout/Weekend Backpack Program, Back to School Backpack Program, VITA, ROCS Outreach, and Allen's Bed Bank.

Assists individuals and families with: - Food pantry - Food Box - Can be picked up every 31 days - 1:00pm - 3:00pm, or 9:00am - 11:30am, Friday (except the 4th Friday of the month) - Community lunch - 11:30am - 12:30pm Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Dine-in or to-go are available.

Provides kid friendly food each week starting at the beginning of the school year and ending the last week of school for preschool - 5th grade (and Head Start).

A community meal is served every Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall.

Holiday Meal Boxes are boxes of food that consists of a meat choice (e.g. turkey breast, ham, or pork loin) and the sides to go with the meal. Sides include stuffing, instant and fresh potatoes, gravy, canned green beans, corn, and yams, apples, carrots, and pumpkin pie. Registration is required to receive a meal box. The registration deadline is Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Limit of one box per household. Meal Box pick-up will be held at the Community Connection Center starting Monday, December 2 - Friday, December 20, 2024 during regular business hours of the Vermillion Food Pantry.

Provides food to those who are food insecure in the Yankton School District through two programs: - The Sack Pack Program provides packs on a weekly basis to school aged children in need of food over the weekend. Families register for Sack Pack at the beginning of the school year. The school staff help distribute the packs. - The School Food Pantry is open to any families that are food insecure with children attending school in the Yankton school district. The pantry is open once a month usually on the 1st Tuesday of the month.
