Commissioners' office and Commission Department Director's office: coordinates board agendas, packets, schedules, and ongoing projects, acts as a liaison between the board and county departments, media, public, and other governmental entities, prepares budget requests and analysis, county representative for labor relations with the county's two labor unions including negotiations and grievance resolution, and county information. Human Resources: recruitment, hiring, performance management, safety programs, wages, benefits, liability and workers compensation, and employee and management training efforts. Information Technology (IT): resource allocation, network administration, and help desk support. Geographic Information Systems (GIS): creates addresses for the county, creates and maintains all GIS layers, maps for the county, and the Beacon website, creates and updates parcel data, creates soil reports, maintains 911 layer and Master Street Address Guide (MSAG), research and analyze data using reports and maps, updates customer records and addresses for the city and utility companies. Buildings and grounds maintenance: county buildings and grounds projects, maintenance, and staffing. Veterans Services: advocacy for veterans and their families when applying for benefits.
