Dakotah Pride Treatment Center - Adult Inpatient Program | Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribe

Therapeutic services for chemically dependent individuals who meet the criteria for admission. The program incorporates traditional American Indian teachings with 12-step concepts. The treatment philosophy is based on the Red Road, Medicine Wheel, and AA principles. The inpatient program provides 30 hours of educational and group therapy in addition to 12-step study and attendance groups. Clients are provided the opportunity to participate in an Inipi ceremony and/or attend church services.

Eligibility

Client must be 18 years of age or older for the adult program and 11-17 years of age for the adolescent program. Clients must meet DSM-IV diagnostic criteria for substance abuse/dependence. Service to American Indians is a priority. Clients should be alcohol and drug free for 72 hours prior to admission and not in need of detoxification services.
