Administers the Housing Choice Voucher program in Codington and Clark Counties. - Applicants must meet income guidelines established by HUD and meet eligibility requirements with regard to a criminal background. - When leased on the program clients will spend at least 30% of their adjusted monthly income but no more than 40% of their adjusted monthly income towards rent and utilities, with a minimum rent of $50. - They are required to sign a one-year lease when admitted to the program. WHA owns and manages a 60 unit Hi-Rise building for elderly/disabled individuals and 25 scattered family units in Watertown under the Public Housing program. - Applicants must meet income guidelines established by HUD and meet eligibility requirements with regards to a criminal background. - Previous landlord references are also required with application. - Tenants are required to pay at least 30% of their monthly adjusted income towards rent and utilities.
