Tax-Aide | AARP Foundation Tax-Aide
Tax-Aide is a partnership program supported by both the AARP Foundation and the IRS. Tax preparation is provided by IRS certified volunteers. Tax-Aide offers free federal tax preparation for low to moderate income taxpayers of all ages, with special attention to those 50 and over and those who are disabled. Assistance is not available for state tax returns. Electronic filing is available, free of charge. There is no requirement for membership in AARP for this program. Eligibility
Open to low to moderate income taxpayers, especially those 50 and older with simple tax returns, if counselors feel they do not have adequate knowledge or your return is too complex, you may need to seek another qualified counselor or paid tax assistance.
