Administers the federal section 8 Housing Choice voucher program an income based program with assistance for the disabled, elderly, and working poor. Program has a waiting list and does not have emergency assistance, process includes filling out an application to be on the waiting list. As Vouchers become available, applications are processed for eligibility certification. If a family is determined eligible, they will receive a Housing Choice Voucher to be used in existing rental housing that is not subsidized through another program. Lists of subsidized housing and rental properties are available.
