Volunteer Advocates | Sioux Falls Area Court Appointed Special Advocate Program

CASA recruits, screens, trains and provides guidance and support to volunteers who serve as advocates for abused and neglected children placed into foster care while involved in the court process. Mandatory training is required for all new volunteers. 30 hours of in-person or online training is available bi-monthly. Eligibility

Volunteers need to have a flexible schedule, be 21, have a high school education, pass criminal background history and child abuse registry checks while being willing to commit time monthly for the duration of their case.
